bbf10a43b8 style: More container queries plumbing
Provide container information in computed::Context and use it to resolve
the container queries.

This still fails a lot of tests because we are not ensuring that layout
is up-to-date when we style the container descendants, but that's
expected.

82c5be08c8 style: Track @container condition id in style rules
Much like we track layer rules. Consolidate that "containing rule state
we pass down while building the cascade data" in a single struct that we
can easily restore.

For now, do nothing with it. I want to land this patch separately
because it touches the Rule struct and CascadeData rebuilds, which both
are performance sensitive.

Its layout shouldn't change because I also changed LayerId to be a u16
(this shouldn't matter in practice, since LayerOrder is already a u16).

4878422c93 style: Simplify selector flags setup even more
In my investigation for bug 1766439, I am digging into why selector
matching regressed.

It doesn't help that the selector-matching code is instantiated a
gazillion times (so there's a ton of copies of the relevant functions).

This was needed in the past because we had different ways of setting the
selector flags on elements, but I unified that recently and now we only
need to either set them or not. That is the kind of thing that
MatchingContext is really good for, so pass that instead on
MatchingContext creation.

* style: Remove :-moz-lwtheme-{brighttext,darktext}

They are just convenience for :root[lwthemetextcolor="light"] (and dark,
respectively), but they generally shouldn't be used for dark mode
theming. In the past it was the only way to do it but now we have
prefers-color-scheme.

While at it, change lwthemetextcolor to be "lwtheme-brighttext" for
consistency with similar code we have for popups etc, and move it to
_setDarkModeAttributes.

While at it, remove layout.css.moz-lwtheme.content.enabled (which is

* style: Allow to derive Parse/ToCss/SpecifiedValueInfo on bitflags

We keep getting this pattern of properties that have a set of joint and
disjoint flags, and copy-pasting or writing the same parsing and
serialization code in slightly different ways.

container-type is one such type, and I think we should have a single way
of dealing with this, thus implement deriving for various traits for
bitflags, with an attribute that says which flags are single vs mixed.

See docs and properties I ported. The remaining ones I left TODOs with,
they are a bit trickier but can be ported with some care.

* style: Implement parsing / serialization for container{,-type,-name} CSS properties

Two noteworthy details that may seem random otherwise:

 * Moving values around in nsStyleDisplay is needed so that the struct
remains under the size limit that we have to avoid jumping allocator
   buckets.

 * All the test expectation churn is because tests depend on
`container-type: size` parsing to run, and now they run. Tests for
the relevant bits I implemented are passing, with the only exception
of some `container-name-computed.html` failures which are
   https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/7181. Safari agrees with
   us there.

Other notes when looking at the spec and seeing how it matches the
implementation:

 * `container` syntax doesn't match spec, but matches tests and sanity:
   https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/7180

 * `container-type` syntax doesn't _quite_ match spec, but matches tests
and I think it's a spec bug since the definition for the missing
   keyword is gone:

This allows popups and sidebars to use the chrome preferred

This moves the responsibility of setting the content-preferred color

We still return the PreferredColorSchemeForContent() when there's no
pres context (e.g., for display:none in-process iframes). We could
potentially move a bunch of the pres-context data to the document
instead, but that should be acceptable IMO as for general web content
there's no behavior change in any case.

This makes the worst case for cascade performance slightly more

rare.

This needs a test, but needs to wait until the writing-mode dependent

Before bug 1763750, we unconditionally called compute_writing_mode,

However after that bug we only do that if we apply any
writing-mode-related property.

We could just call compute_writing_mode unconditionally, but instead it
seems better to skip all that work for visited cascade and reuse the
mechanism introduced in that bug to only apply the visited-dependent
longhands.

We assert that all visited-dependent longhands are "late" longhands, so
as to also avoid applying the font group and such.

  * Simplifies media feature getters by shifting the responsibility of

The destination struct (nsStyleUIReset) was chosen mainly because it's

scroll() is defined in the spec proposal, and there is a temporary spec:

This has no behavior change otherwise. The STRICT definition depended on

of SIZE yet (ugh).

This is the fix for the regression, though the following patch turns on

8bb7d98f0c style: Add support for the revert-layer keyword
This patch looks bigger than it is, but it's mostly because
of plumbing.

To implement revert-layer we need not only the cascade origin of the
declaration, but the whole cascade level, plus also the layer order.

In order to do this, encapsulate these two things inside a 32-bit
`CascadePriority` struct and plumb it through the rule tree and so on.
This allows us to remove the packing and unpacking of CascadeLevel,
though I kept the ShadowCascadeOrder limit for now in case we need to
reintroduce it.

Fix `!important` behavior of layers while at it (implementing it in
`CascadeLevel::cmp`, spec quote included since it was tricky to find)
since some revert-layer tests were depending on it.

The style attribute test is failing now, but follow-up commit fixes
it, see spec issue.

In terms of the actual keyword implementation, it's sort of
straight-forward: We implement revert and revert-layer in a shared
way, by storing the cascade priority that reverted it.

1b2ef21c8c style: Update layer ordering to follow the spec
The bitfield approach worked when the layer order was in pre-order, but
the spec was changed to make it work like post-order and I don't think
there's a way to keep it working like that, so keep the layer order in a
separate data structure that we look up when going from Rule to
ApplicableDeclarationBlock.

This is just a vector index operation so hopefully shouldn't be too bad.

This patch intentionally regresses @keyframe handling to some extent,
since we need a bit more complicated approach and it seemed worth
implementing in a separate patch.

2a7436481c style: Part 1: Add animation-timeline longhand property in style system
This patch adds the animation-timeline longhand property. For
shorthand, we will do that in the next patch.

This patch includes the aut-generated code in
devtools/shared/css/generated/properties-db.js, by `./mach devtools-css-db`.

Note:
1. we will use this property in Bug 1676791. For now, only make sure
we parse it and serialize it correctly.
2. The syntax of animation-timeline may be updated, based on the spec
   issue: https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/6674.
However, it's not a big problem to update it later, so we still can
prototype this property based on the current version of spec.

Same, I want to land this separately to see if it affects
micro-benchmarks. If so, we might want to pack the layer order
_somewhere_ (though in this case I'm not sure where, tbh).

With this, layer rules should have an effect on the page. There are
a few things missing before being able to enable them:

 * Fix nested layer order in some cases (when parent layers are declared
out of order, see the previous commit mentioning this).
 * Some kind of OM representation, perhaps.
 * Tests of course, which are coming in bug 1728722 and bug 1727276.

But this should be enough to allow playing with them.

1f62a7144d style: Tweak recursion in add_rule to only cause a function call per recursion level
This code is really hot, and we've had perf regressions in the past for
introducing function calls in the hot path.

After the previous patch, add_rule is recursive and thus it can't be
inlined, causing a function call for each CSS rule.

This reduces the overhead by making the function take a rule list
instead, causing a function call per rule _list_, which should be
unnoticeable in practice.

For that, deal with children in add_rule recursively, to keep the

this:

  @layer B {

  @layer A.A {

See the discussion here: https://twitter.com/Rich_Harris/status/1433153204678799365

This should make attribute selectors roughly as fast as class selectors.

I think it's worth trying and see if perf bots complain on
micro-benchmarks and stylebench and such.

I made attributes more specific than local names, but less specific than
classes, which I think makes sense. When doing something like
foo[data-bar], filtering by data-bar seems likely to yield less elements
than filtering by foo.

While at it, remove the bloom filter pref since we shipped it in
bug 1704551 for 87 and we haven't heard complaints.

fb9d8ddc73 style: Make sure to consume the flusher when we hit the cascade data cache
So that sheets are properly marked as committed. The issue is that we
have this "committed" optimization, to avoid doing work if somebody adds
and removes an stylesheet without us flushing in the meantime:

  https://searchfox.org/mozilla-central/rev/f018480dfed4fc583703a5770a6db9ab9dc0fb99/servo/components/style/stylesheet_set.rs#308-319

The "committed" bit is set when we consume the flusher (in each(..)).

However when we hit the cache, before this patch, we wouldn't consume
it, which means that we may fail to do some full rebuilds even though we
need them.

Fix it by making sure we call each() in that case.

We add a test (the test would show a red square before this patch, and a
lime square with the fix).

4cb0a781d1 style: Minor cleanup of our @page rule setup.
Actually, there's not so much we can improve right now, in the sense
that:

 * We need the ::-moz-page-content pseudo-element to be able to set
`display` on the page, since that's a style rule rather than a @page
rule. We could get away without it.

 * Keeping the current code-path (slightly cleaned up) is less code, for
now at least. We can have a separate code-path or what not that
actually performs the @page rule selector-matching and what not if
needed when we get to named pages or other page selectors. Selectors
like :first should be pretty trivial to implement, actually.

We make some paged mode anon boxes non-inheriting anon boxes. This
allows us to share the styles and is generally nicer. They don't need to
inherit from anywhere.

We could remove the origin handling and don't look at UA rules or what
not, but it seems pretty harmless to do that.

We also fix the name of the pseudo-elements to match the capitalization.

Also, for changes in CSS declarations, like changing

This page still trips us in the sense that they add a stylesheet, then
call getBoundingClientRect(), then insert more rules in the stylesheet,
which causes us to rebuild a lot of the cascade data.

We could try to detect appends to the last stylesheet on the list or
something I guess, and avoid rebuilding the cascade data in some cases.

ec6ecf7d21 style: Clean up cascade rule iteration. r=nordzilla
The current API was pretty awkward as a result of two things:

 * Not being able to create empty iterators for smallbitvec.
 * We used to call the `F` function multiple times, but turns out that
collecting the declarations in a SmallVec was a perf win.

So clean this up so that it looks more similar to other APIs, taking an
