layout: Allow different collapsed border style/color within a row/column (#35003)
We were previously using the same style and color for two collapsed
borders sharing a coordinate. Now such a line of collapsed borders can
be piecewise and have different colors and styles.

This still doesn't add support for piecewise border widths.

Also, since we are currently painting borders as part of the table and
cell boxes, and a box side can't have a piecewise border, this patch
only really works when:
 - There aren't spanning cells
 - The table has no assigned border (only the cells and tracks have it)

layout: Remove the obsolete layout tracing functionality (#35001)
There were two kinds of layout tracing controlled by the same debugging
option:

 - modern layout: Functionality that dumped a JSON serialization of the
   layout tree before and after layout.
 - legacy layout: A scope based tracing that reported the process of
   layout in a structured way.

I don't think anyone working on layout is using either of these two
features. For modern layout requiring data structure to implement
`serde` serialization is incredibly inconvenient and also generates a
lot of extra code.

We also have a more modern tracing functionality based on perfetto that
we have started to use for layout and IMO it's actually being used and
more robust.

layout: Improve logic for block size of table (#34947)
The containing block for children already has the size coming from the
style and the rules of the parent formatting context, so no need to try
to recompute it.

This allows removing a bunch of functions, and fixes some problems when
the table is a flex item.

layout: Generalize ContainingBlock's block size to a SizeConstraint (#34946)
It used to be an `AuOrAuto`, turning it into a `SizeConstraint` allows
passing the information about the min and max constraints when the
containing block doesn't have a definite block size.

This will be useful for table layout.

Note that in most cases we were already constructing the containing
block from a `SizeConstraint`, but we were calling `to_auto_or()` to
turn it into an `AuOrAuto`.

layout: Refine the check for dependending on available space (#34907)
When laying out a block-level box that avoids floats, if we know that
its size doesn't depend on the available space, we can take a fast path
and only lay it out once. If its size depends on the available space,
we may have to lay it out multiple times, which can be slower.

This patch improves the check for this dependency on the available space.
For example, `min-width: 200px; width: 100px; max-width: stretch` was
previously considered to depend on the available space because of
`max-width`. However, `max-width` is irrelevant when the min size is
greater than the preferred size.

layout: Fix intrinsic contributions of anonymous blocks (#34719)
In order to compute the inline min-content and max-content contributions
of an anonymous block, we were finding its min-content and max-content
inline size with a SizeConstraint coming from the block size of the box.

However, anonymous blocks do not establish a containing block for their
contents, so this patch uses a SizeConstraint from the block size of the
containing block.

Refactor box size computation (#34671)
in each layout logic, in order to correctly resolve sizing keywords.

This patch adds a new `Sizes` struct which holds the preferred, min and

final size into there.

layout: Never stretch indefinite intrinsic keywords other than auto (#34672)
Consider:
```html
<div style="position: relative; width: 50px; height: 50px; border: solid; margin: 5px">
  <div style="position: absolute; top: 0; bottom: 0; height: max-content">
    <canvas width="25" height="25" style="background: cyan; height: 100%"></canvas>
  </div>
</div>
```

In order to determine the inline min/max-content sizes, we need a
tentative block size as the input, which only takes extrinsic values
into account.

In this case `height: max-content` is intrinsic, so we were treating it
as `height: initial`, which would behave as a definite `height: stretch`.
Therefore, the canvas was able to resolve its percentage.

However, it seems weird to treat an explicitly intrinsic keyword in an
extrinsic way, and Blink doesn't do it. So now we treat the tentative
block size as indefinite, therefore the percentage behaves as auto.

This adds a new test, we were previously failing 6 subtests, now only 3.

Use LazyCells instead of callbacks when resolving size keywords (#34211)
In most cases we already had a LazyCell anyways, since we could need the

directly.

Also, this way we no longer need mutable references.

Fix inline content sizes of intrinsic element with indefinite block size (#34152)
To compute the min-content and max-content inline sizes of a replaced
element, we were only using the aspect ratio to transfer definite block
sizes resulting from clamping the preferred block size between the min
and max block sizes.

However, if the preferred block size is indefinite, then we weren't
transfering the min and max through the aspect ratio.

This patch adds a `SizeConstraint` enum that can represent these cases,
and a `ConstraintSpace` struct analogous to `IndefiniteContainingBlock`
but with no inline size, and a `SizeConstraint` block size.

Consistent resolution of cyclic percentages in min sizing properties (#33988)
The spec says that cyclic percentages in min sizing properties should
be resolved against zero when computing intrinsic contributions.
We were already doing that in the inline axis, but we were treating
the entire expression as `auto` in the block axis.

With this patch we will follow the spec in both axes. But note that
browsers don't follo the spec in either axis, so we may have to revisit
(see https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/10969).

calc-min-height-block-1.html now fails because it tests what browsers
do instead of what the spec says.

Fix table track constrainedness (#33550)
* Fix table track constraindness

Only as size that isn't `auto` and doesn't contain percentages can constrain
a table track (https://drafts.csswg.org/css-tables/#constrainedness).

However, in a bunch of cases we were only checking for `auto`.

Also, we were allowing the inline-size of a cell to constrain both its
column and row. Using the block-size of the row makes more sense.
The spec doesn't define constrainedness for rows, though.

layout: Right-to-left support for other layout modes (#33375)
This change removes the `effective_writing_mode` concept and tries to
properly implement right-to-left layout support for all non-inline
writing modes. In general, what needs to happen is that rectangles
need to be converted to physical rectangles using the containing block.
A right-to-left rectangle's inline start is on the right physical side
of the containing block. Likewise a positive inline offset in
right-to-left text is a negative physical one.

The implementation here is pretty good for most layout modes, but floats
are still a bit in process. Currently, floats are processed in the
logical layout of the block container, but there still might be issues
with float interaction with mixed RTL and LTR.

While this does move us closer to supporting vertical writing modes,
this is still unsupported.

New failures:
 - Vertical writing mode not supported:
   - `/css/CSS2/floats/floats-placement-vertical-001b.xht`
   - `/css/CSS2/floats/floats-placement-vertical-001c.xht`
 - Absolutes inlines should avoid floats (#33323)
   - `/css/css-position/position-absolute-dynamic-static-position-floats-004.html`
 - No support for grid

   - `/css/css-position/static-position/inline-level-absolute-in-block-level-context-010.html`
 - Cannot reproduce these locally on any platform. Very mysterious:
   - `/css/css-tables/row-group-margin-border-padding.html`
   - `/css/css-tables/row-margin-border-padding.html`

layout: Add an indefinite containing block for intrinsic sizing (#33204)
When computing the min-content or max-content size of an element we
need to ignore `inline-size`, `min-inline-size` and `max-inline-size`.

However, we should take the block-axis sizing properties into account.
That's because the contents could have percentages depending on them,
which can then affect their inline size via an aspect ratio.

Therefore, this patch adds `IndefiniteContainingBlock`, which is similar
to `ContainingBlock`, but it allows an indefinite inline-size. This
struct is then passed arround during intrinsic sizing.

More refinement will be needed in follow-up patches in order to fully
address the problem.

This adds supports for right-to-left text assigning bidi levels to all
line items when necessary. This includes support for the `dir` attribute
as well as corresponding CSS properties like `unicode-bidi`. It only
implements right-to-left rendering for inline layout at the moment and
doesn't include support for `dir=auto`. Because of missing features,
this causes quite a few tests to start failing, as references become
incorrect due to right-to-left rendering being active in some cases,
but not others (before it didn't exist at all).

Analysis of most of the new failures:

```
- /css/css-flexbox/gap-001-rtl.html
  - Broken due to a bug in tables, not allocating the
    right amount of width for a column.
- /css/css-lists/inline-list.html
    start of an inline box and its first content.
This converts all geometry in the FragmentTree into physical geometry,
doing conversions ahead of time instead of when traversing the fragment
In addition, fragments are laid out in a particular context and only
that context knows its writing mode. There were issues where were using
Layout 2020: Rename flow_relative types to Logical... (#30324)
This makes the names of flow relative geometry consistent with what is
used in the style crate and removes them from a module. With this change
it's more obvious what makes these types different from the ones in
`euclid`.
Flow inlines around floats (#30243)
This implements the rest of the bulk of float support. Now inline
element flow around floats and floats can be pushed down by inline
elements before them.
Split line layout into two phases (#30089)
In the first phase, we gather LineItems and then when we have enough to
form a line we turn them into Fragments. This will make it possible to
more simply implement `vertical-align` and `text-align: justify` because
we need to measure the different aspects of the candidate line and then
produce a Fragments.
This is a general refactor of the way that inline layout works, so comes
with some progressions. In addition there are some new failures.
New failures:
Some tests are now failing because only the test or reference is getting
proper line height when it wasn't before. These should be fixed in a
followup change that properly calculate line-height in more cases:
 - /_mozilla/css/list_style_position_a.html
 - /css/CSS2/floats/float-no-content-beside-001.html
 - /css/css-content/pseudo-element-inline-box.html
 - /css/css-flexbox/flexbox_flex-none-wrappable-content.html
Some tests are now failing because floats are now placed properly, but
are no longer in their inline box stacking contexts. These will be fixed
by a followup change which properly parents them:
- /css/filter-effects/filtered-inline-applies-to-float.html.ini
- /css/css-color/inline-opacity-float-child.html.ini
One test is failing due to floating point precision errors:
- /css/CSS2/floats-clear/floats-141.xht.ini
cdec48328e Place floats in layout 2020, but don't flow text around the floats yet.
This commit puts floats behind the `layout.floats.enabled` pref, because of the
following issues and unimplemented features:
* Inline formatting contexts don't take floats into account, so text doesn't
  flow around the floats yet.
* Non-floated block formatting contexts don't take floats into account, so BFCs
  can overlap floats.
* Block formatting contexts that contain floats don't expand vertically to
  contain all the floats. That is, floats can stick out the bottom of BFCs,
  contra spec.
5b36d211b4 Add an implementation of the core float and clear placement logic in layout
2020, not yet wired to the rest of layout.
This commit implements an object that handles the 10 rules in CSS 2.1:
https://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/visuren.html#float-position
The implementation strategy is that of a persistent balanced binary search tree
of float bands. Binary search trees are commonly used for implementing float
positioning; e.g. by WebKit.  Persistence enables each object that interacts
with floats to efficiently contain a snapshot of the float list at the time
that object was laid out. That way, incremental layout can invalidate and start
reflow at any point in a containing block.
This commit features extensive use of
[QuickCheck](https://github.com/BurntSushi/quickcheck) to ensure that the rules
of the CSS specification are followed.
Because this is not yet connected to layout, floats will not actually be laid
out in Web pages yet.
Note that unit tests as set up in Servo currently require types that they
access to be public. Therefore, some internal layout 2020 types that were
previously private have been made public. This is somewhat unfortunate.
Part of #25167.
